Who Volunteers:

Future Firefighters:

Many of our volunteers are seeking careers in the fire service and join Fire District #5 to gain valuable training and experience. There is far more to earning a career in the fire service than learning technical skills. Learning how to work as a team, communicate with peers and public, act with initiative, and put forth hard work are the skills employers most want. At Fire District 5 you will have the opportunity to gain these skills as well as honing your technical skills as firefighters and EMTs.

People seeking a challenge:

Others come to our district to see if they can measure up to what being a firefighter means. Putting others first, acting with integrity, and taking pride in yourself and your fellow firefighters are what sets firefighters apart. These folks often have fulfilling careers in other fields, but love the challenge and excitement of volunteering.

People seeking to “Give Back”:

We live in a beautiful part of the country and enjoy a supportive community. Donating your time to Fire District #5 is a great way to give back to the community. The work is as challenging as it is rewarding and much appreciated by everyone we serve.

So if you fit into one, or all of these groups, take the time to find out if becoming a Volunteer Firefighter is right for you!!
